How do I connect wireless headphones to a Yamaha AV receiver?
Yamaha receivers have a feature called Silent Cinema (Silent Cinema DSP has developed a natural, realistic sound effect DSP algorithm for headphones. Parameters for headphones have been set for each sound field so that accurate representations of all the sound field programs can be enjoyed on headphones. You will get a virtual surround sound effect while using your headphones). When a headphone jack is inserted into the headphone jack on the receiver the speaker output will mute. In order to get the sound out of headphones and still have sound coming our of the main system speakers, the receiver would need to have one or more of the following outputs: • Analog record outputs. (Outputs Analog input signals only.) Examples: VCR outputs, MD/CD-R outputs and Zone 2 or 3 outputs. • Digital outputs (Outputs Digital input signals only.) 1. Optical Digital outputs. Examples: MD-CDR or CDR. 2. Coaxial Digital outputs. Example: Zone 2. (RX-Z9 only) One or more of these outputs can be used to con
