AFAIK the X400 address is supposed to be there but would not cause the DL not to appear in the GAL. (The following are all under the Recipients category in ESM). You could try going into the properties of the default recipient policy and making sure X400 is checked (my guess is that it’s not). Then create a new list and see if that one has an X400 address and shows up in the GAL. FWIW, I created a test DL with the wizard, and it does have an X400 address. Also, go into the properties of the Default GAL and click the Preview button. See if the address appears there. If an address appears in the GAL preview there, then you rebuild the offline address book and manually download it to Outlook, it should appear. Seeing what happens here should let you isolate the problem to address creation (GAL), or offline address book creation.
