How do I create a page that has information on the top (or bottom) that cannot be changed or customized by a regular user, but allows the user to make other customizations?
If you set the page privilege to “Add Only Customization”, users can only add portlets. Unfortunately, with this privilege they can add portlets to existing regions, potentially upsetting the page design. A better approach for preserving the overall page design is to set the page privilege to “View Only”, and override this privilege for specific tabs. Users won’t be able to touch the regions outside the customizable tabs.
