How do I Deactivate the Belt Minder Feature in my 2008 Honda Civic SI Coupe?
You can’t just disable the belt chime, it’s inside the gauge cluster, turned on based on what the airbag computer tells it about the seatbelt switch. If you bypass the seatbelt switch, you’ll have an airbag light/ no airbags, key in chime, lights on chime, or parking brake reminder. Everything is multiplexed and networked these days, so there’s no simple solution to turn it off, except wear your seatbelt.
