Open the document with the extra blank page in Microsoft Word 2007. Press and hold the “CTRL” key on your keyboard and then tap the “End” key to advance to the end of the document. Make sure the “Home” tab is enabled on the Word Ribbon at the top of the screen. Click the “Show/Hide” button (the button icon is a paragraph mark) in the “Paragraph” group area to turn on hidden formatting symbols in the document. (Word 2003 users need to click the same paragraph mark icon on the “Standard” toolbar at the top of the screen). You will see a “soft page break” (one automatically generated by Word) appear as a dotted line across the page. Delete this line along with any other empty paragraph mark symbols to delete the extra blank page. A “hard page break” (one that is manually entered by the user) will appear as a double dotted line with the words “Page Break” centered in the middle of the line.
