Check the label for the Pest Control Product (PCP) number or the ingredients list. Disinfectants, fungicides, insecticides, pesticides and weed control chemicals that have a current registration number under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada) are exempt from PST when sold to farmers. Mixtures of weed control chemicals and fungicides are also exempt when the mixture contains 50% or more fertilizer. Keep a signed Certificate of Exemption as a Farmer form FIN 465) or an imprint of their British Columbia Agricultural Council (BCAC) card on file for tax-exempt sales to farmers.
