How do I dispose of building materials and construction debris?
Ask your contractor to take it or rent a dumpster. Look in the Yellow Pages under “Garbage” for companies that will rent you a dumpster and whom you can pay to dispose of your construction debris. For usable building materials, contact The Building Materials Resource Center, 100 Terrace Street in Roxbury, MA – they take surplus or used but in good condition. Go to www.botstonbmrc.org for information on what they accept and how to donate. Click here for more construction debris options. Our hauler will collect small amounts of wood at the curb if it is no longer than 3 feet in length and tied into small bundles. Also, consult page 5 of your 2007-08 “Chelmsford Recycles” flyer (call 978-250-5203 if you need a flyer.
