Dry the paint out and set open cans next to the trash. Put the lids in the trash. If the paint is not dried out, soak the paint completely in oil dry or kitty litter and set the open can next to the trash for pickup; put the lids in your trash. If you are cleaning out a garage or basement and have large quantities of old paint cans, please remember that the maximum weight limit for trash collected is 50 lbs.
