How do I drop the lowest grade(s) for a particular category of items in the Grade Center, such as Quizzes?

• Go into the Grade Center from the Control Panel. • From the Create Calculated Column drop-down menu, select one of the Calculated Columns. • Enter a Column Name,Grade Center Display Name, and a Description for the students to see. • Select the Primary and Secondary Display. • Under number three, Selected Columns, select Selected Columns and Categories. • In the pane that appears below, select the category or categories that you want to include. Below the box where you select the category, you will see the columns within it. Click arrow to move them over to the Selected Columns area. • Enter the number of highest or lowest grades that you want to drop from the calculation. • If you want the grades for all of the columns to be included in this final score, make sure that you include all of the graded columns in the Selected Columns area. • Make sure that Yes is selected for Calculate as Running Total. • Click Submit.
