VodafoneWLAN service provides high speed Internet access at selected public hotspots. As with all public hotspots, the data between your laptop and the Internet is not encrypted. To ensure a high level of security, you can use a VPN to connect back to your corporate LAN as you would normally. The use of a VPN will ensure your data is encrypted. Vodafone also recommend that you use a personal firewall to prevent against attacks from the Internet and possible peer-to-peer attacks from the WLAN network.
