How do I file a complaint related to an onsite wastewater treatment system such as a wastewater discharge or work performed by an uncertified individual?
• Call the Onsite Unit at (402) 471-4285 or submit the complaint via email to ndeq.problem@nebraska.gov. It is our goal to investigate each and every complaint we receive in a timely manner. In some cases, however, the information is not sufficient or not timely enough to allow us to conduct an appropriate follow-up. If you report a complaint, please provide the following information: • Name, address and telephone number of the alleged violator; • Business name, address and telephone number (if different); • The physical location of the complaint (i.e., street address or legal description and County) and directions to the location; • The property owner’s name, address and telephone number (if different from alleged violator); • Complaint description; • Date and time of occurrence.
