How do i flush out heating system?

Depends on what type of heating system you have. Generally, this is best left to someone who knows what they are doing. In a vented, gravity fed system, you can simply poor flushing fluid/sludge remover into the expansion tank and allow it to circulate for weeks before draining the system and flushing it out several times. In a sealed system, you will need to force the cleaning fluid into the system using pressure or by removing a rad and pouring it through a valve (making sure you’ve drained the system first!). I don’t recommend doing sealed systems unless you REALLY know what you’re doing. It’s not that easy. DIY shops do several ready made flushing kits for both systems. Why not try one?
