How do I get "ART" into an art gallery or auction ?

The way you get into a gallery is by making contact with the gallery curator(s). What you need to do on your own is browse many galleries and look for work that is of a similar style and theme that would fit with what is being exhibited. Some galleries specialize in a narrowed down category while others show a broader variety under a particular movement. It is unlikely that you will have a chance to show at a gallery if you do folk art and the gallery only shows modern art. Once you have a gallery in mind you can inquire about their review procedure. Many are backed up with shows through the next year. The traditional way has been to have professionally shot slides of your work. More galleries are reviewing work on CD or DVD.
