How do I get healthy again after getting over depression and bulimia?
You need some healthy protein, lean meat, fish, pulses etc plus lots of fruit and veg. Use wholegrain pasta, brown rice, brown quinoa etc to give you low GI carbohydrates with potatoes if you like them. Remember you need some fats so oily fish once a week and use healthy oils – olive for example – as dressings on salads. Do you have a friend who is eating healthily that you could share meals with? If she is keeping to a healthy weight then you could use her as a guide to portion size and eating with someone is often easier than eating alone. But well done for getting your weight back up to a reasonable level although a bit more would be good, just take it gently because you need to put on muscle and not too much fat.
