How do I get interlocking duct work together?

Place your thumbs on both edges while cupping the pipe in your hands. Place the edges together, starting at the end, and then push them in until they lock. Place the pipe on the ground so the ends stay flush, and then just work up the pipe pushing the ends down like they are going down toward the center of the pipe. Go up the pipe and it will slide right in place and lock. Once you are at the end let go of the pipe and just make sure they are locked. Once they are locked put a screw at each end and in the middle just as a safety to keep it from coming unsnapped, but if you did it right, it will not come unsnapped.
