How do I get into University of Chicago?
I went to the University of Chicago, and compared to Ivy league schools, it’s a piece of cake to get into. That being said, it still takes work. The acceptance rate is around 40% rate, but only a third of the accepted enroll. You’ll want to get an SAT of at least 1250, but preferrably in the range over 1350. Your GPA should be higher also. I’d also say that if you can’t meet the other criteria, start researching the school. At your interview, it really counts for a lot if you are familiar with the schools traditions, have thought about courses/majors, and have a particular on campus group you can ask about. Also, work on your high school extracurriculars. Schools love to see that you have interests outside of homework or partying. Get involved in the school paper, theater, or join a sport. Volunteering also helps… If your school has a KEY club, I definitely recommend joining that. Lastly, work very hard on your essays. Don’t leave them to the last minute. Make them thoughtful and a g
