It appears your horse has a problem. When she is asked for the trot, she is raising her head and that means she is hollowing her back. It could be from pain, general muscular stiffness, certainly she lacks flexibility. Lateral flexion is the key to vertical flexion. You cannot achieve one without the other. Also, you might check her teeth and the fit of the tack. I would urge you to make sure your horse is healthy, work with her on flexibility, and forget about all the mechanical devices. They do not work and resolve nothing. You horse cannot learn anything if you tie her head down and she will lose her ability to properly balance overall. Train your horse and avoid the artificial attempts at "quick fixes". Find the problem and you will be able to find the solution. good luck.  more
