How do I get rid of dog urine odor?
Blot up an wet/fresh urine with paper towel (I usually stand on it). Then use Simple Solution (found at any pet store) and make sure it covers every place the urine has gone. It is an emzyne cleaner and has to touch every where the urine has touched to be effective. You can also use a black light to see where the urine stains are. Since it sounds like your dogs have done this for a while, I would suggest getting your carpet cleaned after you treat all the spots with Simple Solution first. You might also want to consider crating your dogs when you are not home to avoid the problem continuing. I have 6 dogs and have found that Simple Solution works better than anything since it doesn’t just “cover” the smell – it gets rid of it.
