Don’t you just hate it when that stale, mildew odor starts to creep in after putting your workout clothes and towels into your bag? It is probably one of the tougher odors to get rid of, especially if you can’t wash your gym bag! You said the bag was canvas, and most all canvas bags can be washed. 1. Put 1 cup of Baking Soda inside the bag and close it up, shake it around. Let this set overnight. 2. Fill your washer with cold water, and 1/4 cup vinegar (you might recognize that this will cause a foaming reaction when you put the bag and baking soda in, but don’t worry). Wash on a gentle cycle, cold water, spin dry. Don’t use any fabric softener. Hang the bag inside out on an outside line where some sun hits, but not so much your bag gets bleached out. Let it hang to dry and air out in case there is any lingering odor. Your bag should smell even better that new after this!
