How do I get started on the EMT Applied Technology Diploma?
There are no prerequisites for the EMT courses but all three must be taken at the same time. Students register for EMS 1119, EMS 1119L, EMS 1431 for a total of 11 credit hours. Classes meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday on the West and Osceola Campuses in the morning from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or evening from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. After completion of all courses with a passing grade of “C” or greater, your name will be sent to Department of Health Bureau of EMS in Tallahassee so you are eligible for state certification.
