How do I get the federal stafford loans?

0

In order to be eligible for a Stafford loan, you have to fill out the FAFSA form (fafsa.ed.gov). Once you do that, the federal processors will forward the information you put in your form to the school you are wanting to attend. If you qualify (federal aid is based on need, not credit) then your school will send you a financial aid award listing what loan and/or grant amounts you qualify for. Just keep in mind that it takes an average of 6 weeks for the process, so the sooner you submit it, the better off you’ll be!
