See for yourself how close the different and unrelated languages really are -whether they be Sign Languages, First Nations languages, or common languages like English and French. Most of the special features of French grammar are in fact pretty trivial. Gender concord, for example, is present in more than a quarter of the world’s languages. The conjugations are probably simpler than those of Spanish or Romanian. The pronunciation (position of the accent in the word) is automatic, and does not even need to be noted in the dictionary, unlike in your crazy language!
