How do I get to Barcelona city centre from Barcelona El Prat Airport?
There are 3 options by public transport: train, bus or taxi. (i) The RENFE regional train service runs approximately every 30 minutes, stopping at “Estació de Sants” rail station and “Plaça Catalunya” in the city centre. The journey from the airport by train takes around 20 minutes, and leaves you in the underground station with your entire luggage to cart up the stairs to street level, where you then need to make your way to your accommodation. A one way ticket costs around €1.50. This is the cheapest method, but also the most hassle and time. (ii) The Aerobús shuttle service connects Barcelona airport to the city centre. The bus runs every 15 minutes and stops at several locations in the centre of Barcelona, including “Plaça de Espanya” and “Plaça Catalunya”. A one way ticket costs around €5.
