There are only two things you might possibly catch off your Guinea Pig, ringworm and mange. As long as your GP is healthy and isn’t exposed to either fungus/mite then you should be OK kissing your GP. Use a bowl like a washing up bowl, fill it with about an inch of warm water. Put your GP in the water (he will try to climb out) and slosh the water over him with your hand. Use a very mild shampoo, like a puppy shampoo. Rub the shampoo all over him, but avoid his face. Rinse first from the water in the bowl, then lift your GP out and tip the water out and thoroughly rinse him with clean warm water – a jug is best for this. He needs a cage where the “outside” area is at least 4 times as long as he is and at least 2 times as wide as he is long. The “bed” area can be considerably smaller. He can live in his cage all day, but if you get him a secure run that you can put on grass then he will enjoy the chance to run around in the sun and eat grass, remember to provide him with something he ca
