Hold the curtain rod where you plan to install it. Once it is level, mark the area where the bracket goes with a pencil.DrillDrill shallow pilot holes where you made your pencil markings. Pilot holes are approximately as deep as a pencil lead. Place the screw tips inside the pilot holes, and hold them steady. Drill until the screws are stable but easily removed. Repeat on the opposite side of the window. Hang the rod temporarily. Ensure that the rod is level with a carpenter’s level, and adjust the bracket location accordingly.
