How do I install a ball bearing between a cylindrical axis and a metal plate?
You buy a ball bearing with those flanges on and screw it to the bottom of the box. Then simply drill a hole on the side of the box for the axis to exit. Seal it of with gaskets to prevent dirt from entering the box.
