How do I install or update ChatZilla in SeaMonkey on Linux/BSD?

0

In SeaMonkey, installing and updating ChatZilla will need to update some files which are in the application directory (usually /usr/local/seamonkey). This directory is normally only writable by the user “root”, which will prevent the installation or update for succeeding. You are advised to temporarily make yourself the owner of this directory (e.g. using chown) and then run SeaMonkey normally, install the update, restart SeaMonkey, and check everything works. After making sure everything is OK, make sure you set “root” to be the owner of the installation directory again.
