• From the installation CD, run \pex100\perc\percnet\win32\setup.exe. • During setup, a readme.txt file appears with some helpful configuration information. Read the file, and then close it. • Check the PowerEdge Raid II Console Server box. If you want to use this system to manage the PowerEdge RAID Expandable Controller installed on this system or on any of the others in the network, also check the PowerEdge Raid II Console Client box. • Select a directory for the Console utility or accept the default (c:\dellraid). • If the file regserv.dat is not found in the same directory as the hosts file, Setup prompts you to edit this file. Select the Edit REGSERV.DAT file checkbox and click OK (or Finish) to open the file (usually in NotePad) for editing. • Replace localhost with the name of the registration server.
