Well ,if you want fast and easiest, pump it out clean it out and fill it back up.That’s what we do.I don’t have time for playing the chemical game and it gets to be so expensive.Tons of bags of shock, coagulator ,algacide [ and you have to have the right kind for your type of algae] and all the vacuuming and then you have to rinse the sand in the pump and on and on.We Have had a pool for 20 years and we drain it and fill it back up.It doesn’t have to be perfectly clean before you fill it up because the new chemicals will take care of it.Trust me!
