Suirrels are pretty persistant, and will go after crocus flowers, tulip bulbs, lily bulbs, and that can be soooo frustrating. I seem to have pretty good success with keeping pests like these out of my garden, and there is still time to act! One, plant several garlic bulbs. I’ve ordered fall planting bulbs specifically, but any strong garlic will do. Separate individual cloves, and plant about an inch to inch and a quarter in the ground. If you live north of Parry Sound plant it an inch and a half. When the ground freezes cover them, & the tulip and other bulbs with leaves or mulch at about 2 inches thick. Also, chipmunks & squirrels do not like mint. Take some *peppermint plants, and prepare a pot or pail with at least one hole in the bottom, with soil. Plant some mint in it, water etc. Dig a hole large enough to dump mint, pot and all at least 1 inch below surface of soil. Do this in a few spots if your garden is divided, or large. They’ll tend to stay away. It is also very important
