How do I keep stray cats from doing their dirty busness on my gravel driveway?
I’m surprised the cats are interested in your gravel, it must be really soft. The ammonia idea is a good one, I also discourage my dogs from digging in areas by dusting them with cayenne pepper, but you have to keep reapplying it. Cats also don’t like citrus, so chopped citrus peel scattered over the area might help. If it’s an established behavior, it will be harder at first because you have to break the behavior pattern. You could also consider rigging one of those motion sensor squirters. Use it for a period of weeks to break the pattern, then periodically if the cats some back. I’ve seen these at garden centers.
