First of all, don't listen to this jerk-off who supposedly quotes AA, saying that a drink a day makes you an alcoholic. The Big Book states that the only person who can qualify you as an alcoholic is YOU. There's no "number" of drinks that it takes to "become" an alcoholic. I know that for me, I was an alcoholic from the day I was born. Both my parents are addicts, so I was definitely predisposed to the addiction from the beginning. You are an alcoholic if you feel that your life has become unmaneagable. Try going to an AA meeting - rarely have I ever walked out of the room feeling worse than I went in. I remember asking the same question to someone when I first started going to meetings. His response was, "normal people don't wonder whether or not they're an alcoholic." If its crossed your mind and you can't stop drinking, you most likely need help. You cannot do it on your own.

I drink on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. I love to drink until I am exhausted. When I start drinking I can not stop until there are no more drinks before me. Do you think that I am an alcoholic and if so, give me some ideas please!

To me an alcoholic is someone who NEEDS to drink to feel normal. If you can not go a few days without having a drink or without feeling the immense need to have a drink, you might be an alcoholic.
