How do I know if my lamp is an Aladdin or a Rayo?

• The first Aladdins were made in 1908, so if the lamp is older than that, it is not an Aladdin • If it doesn’t use a mantle, it is not an Aladdin • All Aladdin lamps will have a model # printed on the wick raiser knob • If there is no model #, check on the fuel cap or flame spreader (or mushroom shaped piece) for wording • If it says “Rayo”, “Success”, or “B&H” the lamp is probably a Rayo (Hint: Rayos don’t use a mantle) • We carry only the wick and chimneys for Rayo lamps because no new parts have been made since 1905
