How do I know what brands/companies use sweat shops/slave labor?
Most clothing is made by universally defined sweat shop labour. “Unfortunately, today almost all retailers use exploited labor to produce their goods. While some manufacturers have taken steps to not use sweatshops, they are few in number and are usually limited to the sale of t-shirts or work uniforms” Oxfam and several other humanitarian groups, work tirelessly to support workers via unions, and to disseminate information about sweat shops. They facilitate a particular project called Nikewatch, and their specific focus is sports apparel. Large sportswear companies rely heavily on slave labour.
