Start by cutting off all the junk, pop, and sugars. I mean white, brown, yellow, molasses, honey, syrups, etc. Go to your local health food store and buy "Stevia", the powdered form. It is an almost 0 calories sugar substitute from a plant with no side effects like Splenda or similar. This will save you from sugar cravings. Eat sugar free cereal -read the labels-in the morning with fat-fat free milk or Soya milk. Oats is the simplest and add the tip of a teaspoon of "stevia" and powdered cinnamon. You will learn how much you need. Avoid fruit juices, the body treats them as sugar water, eat the whole fruit instead; always 20 minutes before a meal. If you already ate wait 2 hours. Make sure there is always home made vegetable soup for you. It is very calming for cravings. It is warm so you feel you are having a meal. All righty, as for time, some people might say morning because you have no food so it goes directly into fat, I don't really favor this unless it is convenient. My look on it is it doesn't matter when as long as you hit it everyday and you know you will do it regardless of what comes up. Dedication. You can't make up excuses unless it's good (you're sick, or emergency came up). If you feel a little tired, too bad, unless your sick, you need to do it. As for workout, do Cardiovascular (anything that gets the heart pumping for at least 30 minutes). I say at least 30 minutes, but an hour is obviously MUCH more effective. Try to do it everyday, but if that's too much to start out with then do it however many you think you can do as long as it is more than 3 days a week (remember the more, the better results you will have). Get a personal trainer if you're into the gym, or take a spinning class if you like stationary biking. Alternatively, yoga is great for dropping the pounds, as long as you stick to it. For all of the above you need to exercise 4-5 times a week for at least an hour to see any sorts of results. As for a healthy diet, I've heard Jenny Craig and those sorts of places can be good, but really all you need to do is start cutting out bad things in your diet - cakes, candies, sodas, anything highly processed and full of sodium or sugars. Diet sodas especially have to go. After you've done that, stock up a lot on fruits and veggies (fruits contain natural sugars - your body has a much better time with them, so don't worry there). Eat plenty of protein, but eat red meat 2 or less times a week. Chicken and fish are your best bets. Every meal should be small, and you should eat about 5 times a day. I was there too and believe me it is not easy. I had to radically change the way I thought about food. I had to exercise hard and I had to get right back up and keep going after I messed up (like sat in bed eating potato chips and ice cream for days on end because I was so frustrated that I had only lost 2 pounds that month!). There are no easy cures. Fat in the belly can be caused by excess insulin or cortisol.. If possible, ask your doctor to check these hormones. I had a lot of luck by cutting out most gluten and wheat products and eating LOTS of fresh veggies and salad, protein, good healthy fats, and grains like quinoa and buckwheat. I also drank a lot of lemon and apple cider vinegar water. I did not count calories though but instead focused on getting my tastes aquired to whole non-processed foods. And I exercised an hour a day. It took me 2 years to lose 100 pounds. Feel free to email me if I can answer any more questions for you.  more

Eat well but only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. To have more satisfaction out of ur food, Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will also activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals. Do not go on fast or starvation diet. Nothing other than water in between. No special diet, call it by any name or program helps as one cannot adopt them on permanent basis. Diet pills are chemicals and per se bad and shud be avoided unless the doc considers it necessary looking at ur condition. Take light exercises and brisk walks for 30 min.regularly preferably on empty stomach and twice a day. U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time and hassle free. Be patient and not in a hurry. U cannot choose spots for reduction. This schedule can be adopted on permanent basis to lead a healthy life and maintain weight.  more

Run a longer distance to get a workout from it. Eat healthily with lots of veggies, lean meat and complex carbs and exercise, you will not have problem losing some fats and weight. I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.  more
