How do i make a homeschooling curriculum?
First of all, you shouldn’t be making a curriculum yourself; you should have a responsible adult helping you. I can tell you how I would do it as a parent of a homeschooled child. Now, I don’t know if you mean you want to make one up yourself, or if you want to make one by choosing interesting classes from all the wonderful prepared homeschooling materials available. I guess I’ll have to tell you both. How to make up your own curriculum from scratch: 1. Find a syllabus, or list of what children usually learn in each grade. World Book Encyclopedia has one. (Don’t get it from the public school.) You don’t have to follow the syllabus exactly, it is just a guide. 2. Check the grades below eighth for topics you may not have covered yet. Plan a short study of each of those things. Ex: You might need to read a book about Columbus, or work on learning multiplication facts with flashcards. 3. Decide what you want to study.
