How do I make local backups of my Blitzmail folders?
There are two easy methods of backing-up your Blitzmail to your local computer, and which method you use depends on how you plan to use the backup. If you just want a text archive of each message to be able to refer back to, and you don’t intend to import the messages into another email program in the future, then you can use the Save Message function in Blitzmail: • In Blitzmail, open the folder you want to backup and highlight all the messages contained (ctrl-A on PC, cmd-A on a Mac). • From the File menu, select Save Message(s)… and give a name and location for the saved messages. • Blitzmail will then export all the messages you highlighted into one text file. You can do this for each mail folder you want to save. If, however, you hope to import your messages into another email program like Thunderbird or Outlook, there is another method to use: • In a browser, open https://webmail.dartmouth.edu and log on. • Click the Folders icon on the top toolbar of the page. • Place a check
