Those aluminum ducts look great but it often takes an experienced contractor to get them on right. I’m NOT trying to insult you. Just look at its construction and you can see the problem. To hold a duct onto a (vibrating) dryer you need to crush it onto the exhaust port. Those aluminum ducts are HARD to crush, even with a hose clamp (which was designed for a plastic hose anyway). You’re supposed to stretch them out a bit to remove the kinks used to make them flexible (those are almost impossible to crush properly unless you flatten them out), but even then you’re crushing metal and it takes a good bit of force to get a nice, tight joint. Go buy a nice cheap plastic hose, one of the ones with a coiled spring of steel wire down the side. It’ll cost you less than $10, the hose clamp will hold it on VERY well (tighten with a socket set, NOT a screw driver), and it’ll last a long time. No matter which style you get, be sure you clean your vent hose regularly – at least once a year, more oft
