How do I obtain rich black color for my large format billboard artwork?

Please note that when artwork is submitted that contains a color that needs to print as a rich black hue, there is a special mix that should be used. Please use C 50, M 45, Y 35, and K 100 (C=Cyan; M=Magenta; Y=Yellow; K=Black). This will ensure that the black color will print at our truest and richest black that is achievable. When converting colors in an Adobe Photoshop document please be sure NOT to use the selection wand – this will miss any pixels that have a different property than the selected pixel. Instead, use black in the selective color, set your darkest mix value as your “black” and then adjust the values until they match the C 50, Y 45, M 35, K 100 mix. To create a new file using digital black, simply choose a CMYK mix of C 50, M 45, Y 35, and K 100. If you need any assistance in using rich black, please contact our Graphics Department by telephone at 866.SCROLLZ (866.727.6559) or by email.
