How do I operate the SA-21 PieMaster ?
To begin the operations, the hopper over the top of the moldset is filled with filling ingredients. A piece of dough is placed onto the waiting moldset and then the two start buttons are depressed simultaneously. This begins the filling and folding cycle. Five (six on some model variations) timers come standard with the Model SA-21 PieMaster . Each timer controls special valves and switches that operate the fill system and turnover systems. Filling weight is controlled by the timed filling depositor unit. The timer is accurate to the nearest 1/100th of a second. This allows very accurate deposit timing. Following the drop, the timers apply a water spray to the sealing area (water spray can be on or off.) Then the molds turn inward and down. This forces the dough to be wrapped around the filling. Fork-like marks are embossed into the dough as it passes past the teeth on the crimper surface of the moldset. Excess dough is trimmed away as the rolling continues. The completed turnover is d
