How do i potty train my poppy if i work all day and only home at night?
What are you going with him during the day right now? Crate training is the best way, however, you would need to check on you puppy in the middle of the day because leaving a puppy in a crate for 8 hours is just too long for them to hold their elimination. Even 4 hours is way too long. A puppy will have to eliminate about every hour or less, depending on their water intake. If you are unable to come home during the day, ask someone if they could check on your puppy. When I crate train, at night I would set my alarm for every 2 hours to take the puppy out. Dur ring the day and night when the puppy is in the kennel you have have a few mistakes here and there. But eventually the puppy will learn that if it eliminates in the cage they will become filthy making them uncomfortable and they slowly learn not to eliminate in their kennel. Just remember, it takes time. Good luck.
