As of September 2010, SSC will accept EMPTY, non-hazardous aerosol cans ONLY for recycling. Aerosol cans must be EMPTY – no pressure or contents left in can. Leave cap on (if you have it). Place in cardboard box next to recycling bins or recycling Toters. Non-hazardous, aerosol cans collected are recycled as scrap metal. Note: Hazardous product aerosol cans, or cans that cannot be emptied, can be taken to Disposal of Toxics for proper disposal. Contact Disposal of Toxics at (360) 380-4640.
