How do I prevent my charcoal drawing supplies from rubbing against each other?

Ummmm, I wouldnt worry about it, they’ll still work. Somtimes I want my stumps to be caked with charcoal to rub in an effect, if I want them cleaner I use my eraser to pull some of it off, which is the point of the eraser…. to touch the charcoal. For organizing and keeping the tips in good condition, I have a leather or vianl pencil case that has lil elastic straps to kep things in place . Just a subjective observation here, the best artists have the nastiest looking equipment for one reason, they use em alot. So the worse your stuff looks, the better off you are.
