How Do I Pronounce Athame?
The question of how to pronounce Athame is one of the classic questions about paganism. Because many pagans start on their path throuh a written medium, the pronounciation isn’t available. Combine that with the “To-may-to” / “To-mah-to” effect, and you end up with quite a few right ways to say Athame. To help distinguish both right, and wrong, pronounciations, I’ve created a pair of sound files. Some are more common than others.
