If you bought your computer from a dealer or direct from a manufacturer such as Dell there will be a sticker on it somewhere that has the Product Key on it . It’s under the barcode. Borrow a Windows Installation CD from someone, when it eventually comes to the part asking for the Product Key insert the one from your sticker. You should have made a backup CD when you first bought the comp but doesn’t sound like you have done so. You should also do a system backup at least once a month so you can use System Restore to revert to a good working version of your system. Start>Programmes>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore The only alternative is to delete all programmes except the operating system and then use a free programme such as the download from http://www.paretologic.com/ to find any errors.
