After connecting to an e-book from ASA, Lehigh’s Library Catalog, a summary screen appears; T display the entire book online, click on browse. No login is required to browse the book in this way. The screen divides into two parts which facilitate use of the book. On the left is a tools frame and, on t right, the book itself. The tools features include full-text searching, a table of contents display, help, and the American Heritage Dictionary with clickable audio icons to hear the pronunciation of a word. Double-clicking on a word in an e-book will bringing up the dictionary definition for that word in the tools area. During the time that one person browses the book, no one else may. If you require exclusive but non-continuous use of the book, consult the check-out procedure below. Keep in mind that some elements of an e-book may differ from its print counterpart; e.g., footnotes and index page numbers may be hypertext links.
