How do I register as a drum reconditioner or remanufacturer?
To recondition or remanufacture drums in accordance with CAN/CGSB-43.126, a faclity must be registered in accordance with section 14 of CAN/CGSB-43.126. The registration process is initiated when the reconditioning or remanufacturing facility submits an application for registration to the Director. We have developed an application form for convenience. The application must also include a clear and detailed description of the proposed reconditioning or remanufacturing procedure(s) as well as information pertaining to the quality assurance program required by section 8 of the standard for steel drums and section 13 of the standard for plastic drums. When the Director is satisfied that the requirements of CAN/CGSB-43.126 will be met a Certificate of Registration is issued to the facility indicating its registered mark. A Certificate of Registration is normally valid for a period of three years, prior to which time the facility must apply for renewal.
