How do i remove a darker shoe polish from a lighter shoe?
1) Purchase a refinishing spray such as Nulife at a shoe repair shop. Take the shoes with you so that you can match them to the color chart. 2) Use masking tape to mask off the sole and heel of the shoes. Only the leather upper should be exposed. 3) Find a well-ventilated area to work in. Using a light-colored cloth, wash the leather with leather preparer. Let dry. Repeat until the leather has a dull, even finish. 4) Apply the refinishing spray to the shoe. Spray it on evenly and lightly. Repeat until the leather has an even color, allowing it to dry between coats. 5) Remove the tape. Polish the shoes with cream polish and a soft, clean cloth.
