• Turn off the computer, disconnect the power cord, and observe all electrostatic discharge precautions. • Remove the left side panel from the computer. • Lay the case down on it’s right side. • Locate the DIMM slots in the case. • Inside the case, press the release latches for the DIMM. • Holding the DIMM by the edges, pull it out of the socket. Try not to touch the chips on the DIMM. Replace or install the memory (DIMM) • Align the DIMM with the socket, and then firmly press it into place. The release latches flip up to secure the DIMM in the socket. • Ensure that the DIMM is fully seated by pressing down on both ends. Ensure that the release latches are clipped into place. • Replace the left side panel, and then reconnect the computer’s power cord.
