How do I remove black mold from my shower?

i work in construction ,and have seen this alot.my first thing is YOU RENT"talk to the landlord as black mold causes serious respitory problems.flu like symptoms.kids unusually sick for no reason,ect.if the land lord blows you off call the health department in your area.this is serious.and illegal for him not to fix.do some research on black mold here on the net,and its affects.now the answer,you can sometimes get rid of it if you use the bleach and water ,and some products like clr will do it too.but if this is reacuring all the time the shower wall boards need to be replaced sealed and caulked.to prevent this myself on a small scale,i spray my shower walls with spray silicone.and let dry.after cleaning.i have done this for years.but this only stops mold from being able to start in a already clean shower.if you have this all around the edge of the tub,and near all the joints,and caulk areas .it is actually behind the boards,growing around from behind.and will never really leave.withou ... more
